Rob Wortzman

Rob practises with an emphasis on corporate finance and business acquisitions & divestitures for both public and private issuers. He acts for both issuers and underwriters with respect to initial public offerings, new issues and bought deal financings (domestic and cross-border), and has acted as lead counsel for a number of public clients who have been involved in mergers, corporate reorganizations and take-over bids as well as going private transactions.

Rob is a member of the Securities Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission. He is also on the board of directors and Chair of the Governance Committee of Variety Village – the Children’s Charity, and is a member of the Cancer Cabinet of the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation.

Rob obtained his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall in 1992 and graduated from the Richard Ivey Business School with an HBA in 1989.
